• City Auditor
  The City Auditor’s main responsibility is to protect and to enhance the fiscal integrity of the city, while promoting city-wide initiatives.
• Mound View Cemetery
  Mound View cemetery is located in the northern part of Mount Vernon and is owned and operated by the City of Mount Vernon. It is made up of just over 41 acres.
• Civil Service
  The Commission shall administer and enforce the Civil Service Laws of the State of Ohio, and the Rules and Regulations relative to Civil Service in the City of Mount Vernon.
• City Council
  The City Council meets the First (1st) Monday of every month, at 7:00 p.m. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.
• Engineering Department
  The primary objectives of the City Engineering Department are project and records management and permitting.
• Fire Department
  The department offers fire suppression, emergency medical care, fire prevention, and public information services to the citizens of Mount Vernon.
• Income Tax Department
  The Income Tax Division is responsible for administering the City’s income tax and the utility users tax.

• Police Department
  The Mount Vernon Police Department currently provides Law Enforcement services with three shifts of Officers, seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day.
